This Hillerich & Bradsby Model S2 bat is engraved "WORLD SERIES 1960 PITTSBURGH PIRATES" on the barrel along with "Momen Clemente" facsimile signature - a rare variation used up until the end of the 1960 season on the H&B bats of Roberto Clemente. It measures 35" and weighs 31.4 ounces, which matches factory records of bats ordered by Clemente during the 1960 season. The barrel displays heavy use with plenty of ball seam impressions, also some green bat rack marks and other abrasions which are attributed to use by the Clemente family members after this bat was taken home by the budding superstar after the season. It also has a chipped knob and deadwood on the barrel, which have been professionally repaired. This magnificent specimen comes with a PSA LOA and also an LOA from Roberto Clemente Jr. In his first World Series appearance, Roberto batted .310 to lead the Pirates to a seven-game victory over the New York Yankees, the first of three titles he would win.
