1902 Buffalo Bill Cody Letter

1902 Buffalo Bill Cody Letter

Buffalo Bill’s legend burns bright nearly a century after his death. He blazed a trail through Western history as a Pony Express rider, hunter, Indian Scout, Actor and creator of the modern day rodeo. This is an important two-page letter dated 2/10/1902 written in Cody’s own hand on the most prized of his personal stationary: “The Cody Military College and International Academy of Rough Riders.” Written in fountain pen to famed artist Irving Bacon commissioned by Buffalo Bill to complete master works for his Wild West show. The ink is dark and clearly legible, “W.F. Cody” signature rates a 7.5/10. Paper has some damage in the form of brown spots (VG-EX). An amazing piece of Americana.
