These fascinating, one-of-a-kind photos will knock your socks off! The fight between Jack Dempsey and defending champion Jess Willard took place in Toledo during sweltering heat on the 4th of July, 1919. These five photos show the crowd and the massive structure built for the fight. Dempsey appeared to be out of his element as he stood 6-1 and Willard was a giant at over 6-6 in stature. What ensued was one of the most lopsided matches ever with Dempsey savagely beating Willard to within an inch of his life. This lot is in VG condition.
