1930s Santa Anita Handicap & Hollywood Park Admission Tickets (7)

An important collection, this lot covers seven admission tickets California races from 1934 through 1938. The first four are prototypes used as proofs and include: 1935 Santa Anita Handicap for the grandstand, 1936 Santa Anita Handicap clubhouse, 1937 Santa Anita Derby club house, 1938 Santa Anita Derby general admission. The next three are for the recently defunct Hollywood Park Racetrack and are admission tickets used as proofs and include: reserved box seat ticket with stub (winner was Ligaroti) for first running of the American Handicap on 7/4/38, and two reserved box seats, one with stub attached to upper grandstand for 6/29/38 and the other for June 10 - June 23, 1938. Tickets average 2.75x5" and are NRMT.
