This beautiful image is of a Waikiki beach life guard taken in the 1930s and is inscribed "To 'Timmy,' Regards from 'Johnnie.'" Exactly who "Timmy" and "Johnnie" are is a mystery to us, but the photo is so period and so authentic, you can't help but love it and the life it represents. On the back is stamped "Enlarged by Earl V. Lewis Co./226 W. 4th & 421 W. 7th W. 7th Sts/LOS ANGELES."
