1935 Babe Ruth Autographed Photo Display (15x26")
Side by side in this fine looking display are two images, one signed beautifully, taken during the twilight of the Babe's career. The first, a 7x8" newspaper photo, shows Ruth smashing a homer in a 1935 exhibition game against the Newark Bears. It sports an amazing signature in jet black fountain pen that reads, "Sincerely Babe Ruth," easily a 9.5/10, it is another one of the high-grade examples we are offering this auction. The actual broadsheet has browned somewhat (EX), but it has had no effect on the visual appeal of the autograph. The other, an original 7 x 9" wire photo, has the Babe smiling as he approaches home plate in his Braves uniform (EX). Double matted and framed to a total size of 15 x 26". Frame itself has some corner chipping and minor wear.
