A World Championship season for the Redbirds, who conquered the Yanks in five October games. Home white flannel was worn by the talented batsman Harry Walker during that glorious season, and has his full name and the year "42" stitched in red in the tail. Fabulous embroidered birds and bat logo shares space with "Cardinals" on the chest; restored number "10" on back (though it looks like the original to all but the most sophisticated experts). Coveted "Health" patch on left sleeve. Zipper is restored as well. "Rawlings [size] 40 Regular" tagging in collar. Use is strong, with some age-staining and a couple tiny moth holes that do little to detract. Black sharpie signature from Walker is nice. A strong specimen.
