1948 Puerto Rican League Calendar with Negro League Players

1948 Puerto Rican League Calendar with Negro League Players

The image of Hilton Smith on this calendar is the exact same used on his 1949-50 Toleteros Puerto Rican Baseball Card

This vintage 1948 calendar produced and distributed by the Don Q Rum distillery company is possibly the only one to feature players from the American Negro League. Some of the players photographed and featured on the calendar are HOFer Hilton Smith; the same photograph is featured on his rookie toleteros card, Charliey Glock, Ruben Gomez, Ford Smith, Willard Brown, Vincente Villafane, Fernando Diaz, Juan Sanchez, Francisco Coimbre, Chet Brewer, Eugene Smith, Johnny Davis, Gilberto, Valentin, and Royce Lint. The calendar measures 20 x 28" and is in EX-MT condition and beautifully preserved with a professional matting and framing job.
