A true American hero, General Taylor saw World War II action at both the D-Day invasion of Normandy and the carnage of the Battle of the Bulge. His post-World War II career involved many major assignments: Superintendent of West Point, Commander of the Eighth Army in Korea, Army Chief of Staff, Special Military Advisor to Presidents Kennedy and Johnson; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Ambassador to Vietnam. This four-star olive drab fatigue shirt was worn during Taylor's service in Korea. Acquired from a long time collector and original member of the AAMUC (Association of American Military Uniform Collectors). Notarized letter of authenticity, with copy of a trade publication article written by the man from whom the shirt derives.
