1960s Phoenix Candy

1960s Phoenix Candy "Striclty Fun" Baseball Series Card - Babe Ruth

There is no mistaking the new "recruit" for the local sandlot team as none other than Babe Ruth, complete with full belly. In the 1960s Phoenix Candy and Toys issued several different boxes, each with two "baseball" cards on the panels. This Ruth imaged card is one of 16 different cards. Quoting one of the young lads, "It's that new kid in town...he wants to try out." We think he'll make the team. The card is cut either on of just outside the dotted lines, and appears to be VG/EX overall. Definitely one of the most rare Babe Ruth cards ever issued.
