One fanatic Beatles fan heard that the Beatles might be playing in San Francisco in 1965 and saved the following trophies from her quest to see her idols. There are a series of letters from The Cow Palace to her and other items. 1) A small note stating The Beatles are tentatively coming in August or September. 2) Letter dated Feb.4 on Cow Palace stationary stating "we understand they may possibly be here in late August...no contract has been signed…if you wish to be notified send an S.A.S.E…tickets will be sold at the Cow Palace only...No Mail orders will be accepted." 3) Letter dated April 9 on CP letterhead stating "We are pleased to announce The Beatles will be appearing at the Cow Palace Tuesday, August 31. Tickets are now available by mail order only…Since your request for Beatles Information has been on file…you are receiving this official news release 24 hours prior to newspaper announcement. 4) C.P. mailing envelope 5) Ticket stub, VG. 6) C.P. Ticket envelope with handwritten info. 7) 8x10 photo of Beatles with promoter Paul Catalana, VG. 8) A jellybean that Paul stepped on at the concert. 9 & 10) This fans father was a clerk at the Cabana Motor Hotel in Palo Alto where The Beatles stayed for this concert stopover. When they checked out her father kept the key fobs to their room for his daughter. He wrote Beatles Room on them. Wow! A great lot for advanced jellybean collectors.
