A hulking presence in the Steelers' linebacking corps during the 1990's, Levon Kirkland was surprisingly fleet of foot for his massive frame. The 6'1" inside linebacker topped out at 300 lbs. during his career, but proved himself to be adept in coverage and was an absolute force in the heart of the Steelers defense. He was named an All-Pro in '96 and '97, and in the latter year received NFL Alumni Linebacker of the Year honors. He was even voted onto the prestigious 1990s NFL All Decade Team. "KIRKLAND" can be found sewn in black lettering, atypical of the regular Steelers away uniform, on a white name plate. His number "99" appears stitched in black on the front, back, and both shoulders. The Nike jersey has a size 50 tag on its tail, with a "97" tag adjacent to it denoting the year it was made. The jersey has endured great use, with 18 team repairs underscoring just how active and ferocious a player Kirkland was. All jerseys come directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers.
