Managing the "Boys of Summer" from 1951-1953, Chuck Dressen famously proclaimed "The Giants is Dead" before the Dodgers eventually lost the NL pennant to the Giants at the end of the season. Dressen replaced starting pitcher Don Newcombe with Ralph Branca, who gave up Baseball's "Shot Heard 'Round the World". Offered here is Dressen's 1951 home jersey - possibly from spring training since it never had the MLB 75th anniversary patch on it. With the original number "7" on reverse, the jersey shows solid use. Tagging on the front left tail is "Rawlings [size] 40" on inside collar and "C. Dressen" chain stitched to front tail.
