General George S. Patton Jr. Handwritten Letter

General George S. Patton Jr. Handwritten Letter

Handwritten letter is a gem condition-wise. Dated April 9, 1917 and written to his mother from El Paso. Superbly detailed military content is homage to the single-minded devotion he displayed throughout his life. Includes interesting WWI content and the frustrations of rank and the overall system. Three page correspondence in his hand is signed, "Your devoted son George S. Patton Jr." The original envelope addressed "Mrs. Geo. S. Patton" is essentially a second Patton autograph (could be turned into a perfect cut). Two for the price of one.
