On April 4th 1974 Hank Aaron found himself at homeplate of the brand new Riverfront Stadium, one swing away from what was once thought unthinkable, with the eyes of the entire baseball world focused upon him. He had overcome racial slurs, death threats, and time itself on his path towards Ruth's record and as he waited on Jack Billingham's 3-1 pitch not a single step of that journey entered his mind. With the delivery he turned and launched the ball high towards left centerfield, at once the entire stadium rose and watched as the ball sailed over the fence. From that historic game is one of a rare few ONL (Feeney) balls used in play. Stamped specially for that game "First Use 4-4-74, Cincinnati vs Atlanta" in bold black that emanates from the lightly and evenly toned surface along with the other standard markings.
