Hank Williams Used Guitar Pick, Plus Print in Original Frame from the Home of Drifting Cowboys Guitarist
ACTUAL GUITAR PICK used by Country Music legend Hank Williams. MARVELOUS find. Taken from the estate of Bernice Turner, long-time rhythm guitar player of the Drifting Cowboys, Hank Williams' band. The tortoise shell pick, with Williams' name stamped on it, was sealed inside the glass covered portrait print which was displayed in her home and was revered by Bernice, and was one of the few items left in her estate. Bernice Turner was called by Williams, "The best guitarist I ever knew." She was married to fellow band member Doyle Turner. This pick used by Hank Williams is a tremendous addition to any music collection. It's the pick of an American legend. Hank Williams hard drinking led to his early death at 29, but in his short lifetime he composed and sang such #1 hits as: "Lovesick Blues", "Cold, Cold Blues", "Hey Good Lookin' "Your Cheatin' Heart", and his music influenced, to name just a few: Elvis Pressley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and The Rolling Stones. In addition to Williams' pick, this great print from 1974 marked on back from the Hank Williams Statue Dedication, attended by Bernice Turner, at Montgomery Alabama on September 17, 1991. LOA from Lelands.
