Concerned with the Vietnamese Communist build up in sanctuaries and fearing a large-scale U.S. attack across his borders, Prince Norodom Sihanouk invited Mrs. Kennedy to view his dilemma first hand. We now offer a collection of gifts and keepsakes received by Jackie during that historic trip. A contemporary treen-lined repousse silver box (2”Hx 4”Lx 4”W), with Cambodian dancer and scrolled foliate decoration, stamped on the base is, “Northern Cambodia T900,” in its original navy blue leather box with blue satin lining. Joined by cards inscribed “Avec les compliments du government Royal du Cambodge” a pink card inscribed “Prince Norodom” in French for Providencia Paredes reception Nov. 2 1967, “Norodom Silanouk/ Mlle. Providencia Parades/Khemarin”, “M Provencia and name card”, together with a typed letter concerning the trip to Provi signed Nancy Tuckerman on Mrs John F. Kennedy stationary dated October 11, 1967, original envelope with black border and Jacqueline Kennedy Franking, together with 16 printed brochures, many printed specifically for the visit, 17 postcards and 9 magazines/publications, including a “Programme of Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy’s Visit to Cambodia”.
