Jake LaMotta Oil Painting (ex-Vicki LaMotta with family LOA)

Jake La Motta was born in the Bronx, New York, and began his pro career in 1941, winning the World Middleweight Title in 1949 stopping Marcel Cerdan. He posted career victories over Sugar Ray Robinson, Bell, Zivic, Satterfield and Dauthuille. Known as "The Bronx Bull" he will forever be remembered as the subject of the popular movie "Raging Bull." This is an original oil painting on canvas of LaMotta in his older years. Signed by the artist, this painting came from the collection of Vikki LaMotta and comes with a letter of authenticity from her son. This painting is on canvas, signed by artist Vernon, Jr. at lower right. There are no noticeable flaws, holes, scratches, or marks. Mounted to wooden supports, it measures 24x36".
