Jim Morrison's Poetry Writings (3)

This collection is only 3  pieces, not 4
James Douglas Morrison; songwriter, singer, author and poet. He needs no introduction , he left his rebellious mark on music history. As leader and lead singer of the Doors Jim blended poetry, controversy and insanity creating a myth that is his legacy. Jim's poetry is legendary. On June 24,1970 Jim (in their own spiritual ceremony) married Patricia Kennealy, editor of Jazz & Pop Magazine and one of the first women rock critics. The "Anatomy of Rock" or "The Whole Thing Started With Rock And Roll, Now It's Out Of Control", Patricia writes on her website talking about her days at Jazz & Pop;" guest writers included accused felon/poet Jim Morrison, we published it for the first time in 1970ish." "At Jim's rather shy request 'Uh do you think you might want to put this poem in your magazine?' Copies of this significant poem were taken into the courtroom for Jim's obscenity trial in Miami where they tried, in vain, to persuade the Jury that he could indeed engage in "art". Jim Morrison also published this piece in his book 'Wilderness Poems 1966-1971'. This spectacular offering of the three original hand written pages on 8x11" lined loose-leaf pages that even include Jim's corrections and changes. A true piece of rock and roll history.
