Longden is one of the most successful jockey's in history, compiling 6,032 victories - one of the highest totals ever. Trophy stands 11" tall and is extravagently engraved on the outer rim, "American Derby of 1962 - Washington Park." Small gold plate (also 14-karat gold) on front of wooden podium reads, "Won by BLACK SHEEP ch. c. 3, Nigromante - Dark Justice. Owner - C.R. Mac Stable, Inc. Trainer - Charles Whittingham.
