This 18" x 24.5" glossy poster display promoting the 1977 release of Lynyrd Skynyrd's fourth studio release - "Street Survivors" - had to be pulled four days after its release due to a tragic plane crash that killed three members of the band as well as its assistant road manager. There is a slight lift to the transparent overlay at the corners and several tackholes in each corner from being hung and moved over the years, but the poster is in overall EX condition. Following the crash, which also killed the pilot and co-pilot while injuring many others, MCA records altered the original cover, which featured the seven band members standing against tenement buildings engulfed in flames. Instead, the album - which was certified double-platinum - featured a black background with the band in the same pose in the foreground.
