Offered are eight original pieces of art by John Prentice for 8 different dailys produced for October of 1956. Originally created by Alex Raymond, Rip Kirby made its first appearance on March 4, 1946 and was an instant success. John Prentice's artwork was so similar to Raymonds', that a great majority of readers never noticed the change. The 8 offered strips are among the most important, and very earliest ever drawn by John Prentice. Each measures 6.5x23" and is in Excellent condition with the King Features Syndicate 1956 copyright on the fronts.
