Pete Rose Game Used Record Breaking 10th Time 5-for-5 Bat (33.75")

Pete Rose Game Used Record Breaking 10th Time 5-for-5 Bat (33.75")

On August 11, 1986, less than a year after smashing Ty Cobb's all-time hit record, Pete hit safely in all five of his at bats against the San Francisco Giants at the Reds home ballpark, Riverfront Stadium. It would be the record breaking tenth time in his career that he'd accomplish such an amazing feat. His NL record still stands today. With him, each time he took the plate that day, was this black signature model Mizuno bat. The handle and midsection display Pete's unique tape job, while the barrel is littered with ball marks, rack scuffs, and cleat dents. Made complete with his oversized "Pete Rose 8-11-86" white paint pen inscription.Just as he would have liked to, Charlie Hustle left The League just as he had come in...swinging, for a month later he was removed from the Reds active player list, thus making this the final extraordinary performance of his Hall of Fame worthy career. LOA.
