Ted Williams Moxie Cardboard Advertising Display

Ted Williams Moxie Cardboard Advertising Display

The "Splendid Splinter" was famous for destroying pitches, but he also served an effective pitch man for Moxie, America's first mass-produced soft drink back in the 1870s. Ted Williams' image graces this three-dimensional display for Moxie, which is still enjoys regional popularity in New England. Measuring 26.25x15.5", the display folds out to create a counter, on which to set bottles or six packs. From the late 1950s or early 1960s, the yellow, white and red cardboard stand is in EX condition and features the writing: "TED WILLIAMS SAYS 'MAKE MINE MOXIE'" and "IT'S A HIT, SAYS TED WILLIAMS."
