The Doors “Light My Fire” White Matte Gold Record

The Doors “Light My Fire” White Matte Gold Record

RIAA Certified Gold Record Award is presented to the Doors themselves. Historically important award is “To Commemorate The Sale Of More Than One Million Copies Of The Elektra Records Pop Single Record ‘Light My Fire’.” This award is in exceptionally fine condition, overall EX-MT condition. The vintage back paper on the bottom has been pulled back only slightly and has been taped back down. It is o/w untouched and unrestored. The most important single by the Doors, it helped break them as a hugely successful international act. Also the song that got them permanently booted from Ed Sullivan. Morrison rather than leaving out the line “Girl we couldn’t get much higher” he accentuated it instead! This was in contrast to the Rolling Stones who changed “Let’s spend the night together” to “Let’s spend some time together.” 13x17”.
