75-year-old Seabiscuit saddle sells for $104,260

The saddle that jockey Red Pollard used during the 1940 Santa Anita Handicap, which Seabiscuit won, was sold at auction for $104,260. The saddle features Pollard’s name across the seat, and according to Lelands.com it had never been used after Seabiscuit’s final victory. A statue of Seabiscuit was erected at Santa Anita to honor the horse’s win.
