Seabiscuit saddle sale tops $104,000 at auction

NEW YORK (AP) — Seabiscuit jockey Red Pollard's race-worn saddle from the famed champion racehorse has sold for $104,260.

Lelands auction house announced the sale Tuesday.

Horseshoes worn by Seabiscuit during his 1938 match race victory over Triple Crown winner War Admiral and his famed 1940 Santa Anita Handicap win fetched $35,311.
