Jackie Robinson Signed Checks to African American Organizations (3)
Three checks from Jackie to various African American owned and operated organizations written entirely in his hand. 1) Royal National Bank of New York check (VG-EX), dated 9-28-66, to National Negro Republican Assembly, signed "Jack R. Robinson". 2) Freedom National Bank check (VG-EX), dated 5-18-72, to "100 Black Men", signed "Jack R. Robinson". 3) Blank bank check (EX-MT), dated 1-29-60, to the Harlem Y.M.C.A, signed "Jack R. Robinson". Official bank stampings on each document interferes with all three ink signatures that are otherwise 9/10. LOA from Rachel Robinson.
