Notes: This is a fabulous collection of scorebooks and record books from a Puerto Rican sportswriter dating from 1945-1955. Most importantly, is one book which sports handwritten box scores from at least five games from the 1945-46 seasons with Josh Gibson in the lineup for Santurce (on loan from Vera Cruz). The last game he appears in is January 20, 1946 among one the last games he ever played (he died in 1947). Also, included in these scorebooks and record books are greats of the Negro League playing in Puerto Rico: Roy Campanella, Larry Doby, Perucho Cepeda, Buster Clarkson, Willard Brown, Dan Bankhead, Hiram Bithorn, Bob Thurman, Ruben Gomez, Luis Olmo, Hilton Smith, Sam Jethroe, Monte Irvin and Luis Tiant. There are also Caribbean World Series games, series versus Cuba in San Juan, Johnny Davis no-hitter, and college. There are a total of 13 record books and scorebooks. All are handwritten with the sportswriter’s name inside. <br><br>Condition:
