Seldom-seen complete set of Mecca Cigarettes ‘Champion Athletes & Prize Fighters’ sports cards. Set was produced in 1910 and was very popular, as it encompassed a variety of sports heroes. Besides great athletes and prize fighters, the set also includes famous golfers, bowlers, pool and billiards champions, even aviators. Some of the notables include Jack Johnson (2 different; (1) VG, (2) GD-VG, light crease), Jim Jeffries (2 different; (1) VG-EX, (2) GD-VG, corner crease), Willie Hoppe (billiards; VG), and Ora Morningstar (billiards star - Mosconi of his day; EX+).
