1961 John F. Kennedy Inauguration Metal "No Parking" Sign

1961 John F. Kennedy Inauguration Metal "No Parking" Sign

Dating from the Presidential Inauguration of John F. Kennedy in 1961, this metal "No Parking" sign was found in an estate sale. It originates from a woman whose husband was in the University of Kentucky Marching Band, which performed that day. Folklore has it that she said, with a twinkle in her eye, "and somehow the sign wound up in our home." Measuring 12x18", the back shows extensive rust and there is some bending at the corners, but as these signs are not particularly common, this is a fun and interesting find.
