1969 Moscow Selects Team Signed Stick

1969 Moscow Selects Team Signed Stick

In 1969, a team of Soviet All-Stars toured Western Canada, playing Canadian teams of various relative strengths. They played eleven games and didn't lose one. It was an inkling to Canadians that hockey was no longer the sole property of Canada. The team was called the Moscow Selects, and they consisted of players from the Red Army, Soviet Wings and Moscow Dynamo teams. Stick is team autographed by all the players with their numbers from a game played against Regina Pats. The top of the stick has a #3, attributing to top Russian defenseman Vladimir Lutchenko, who played in the 1972 Summit Series. Stick is NRMT. .
