1983 Gaylord Perry Autographed Game Worn Jersey
Road blue Kansas City Royals jersey was worn by Gaylord Perry for one of the last of his 314 career wins in a game vs. the Boston Red Sox on August 13, 1983. In Fenway Park, Perry pitched a 5-4 win over the Red Sox, and has signed and inscribed the jersey on the front tail, “Best Wishes Gaylord Perry, 8-13-83, Boston 4, KC 5.” Jersey adorned with “Royals” across the chest in scripted white tackle twill and his number “36” below the heart. Verso is “Perry 36”. Collar tagging is “Wilson [size] 46” and there is an “83” embroidered onto a small plate on the front left tail. An extremely stylish and highly desirable jersey from late in the Hall of Famer’s career. Ex-Barry Halper collection.
