John Cleese Signed Letters to Python Writing Partner Graham Chapman (2)

John Cleese Signed Letters to Python Writing Partner Graham Chapman (2)

Two letters (7”x9”) to Graham Chapman typed on John’s addressed letterhead, “82 Lanbroke Road, London, W.11”. Dated November 17th, 1978, he attempts to recruit Graham, among others, to participate with him in an Amnesty International event. “I would like to add the man who sings ‘Mule Train’ and beats himself about the head and neck with a metal tray.” Light stains and original mailing folds. EX. The second, dated July 10th 1979, is of a more serious matter as John seeks support for an anti-drug and alcohol organization Monty Python has been asked to lead. Original mailing folds. EX-MT. Both are closed with his black ink signatures. Read them carefully, they are hillarious.
