Roberto Clemente Signed Photographic Folder
Roberto’s indelible and invaluable signature has a unique and intimate quality on the inside of this rare photographic folder. The signature is on the inside cover and faces a mounted 5 x 7” color portrait of an unusually relaxed and smiling Clemente against the looming background of the Forbes Field grandstand and a clear blue sky. Signature in blue pen is among a section of writing in Clemente’s notoriously jumbled handwriting but is easily distinguishable and in fact grades a solid 8/10. Photo is EX+ w/a crease and speck here and there unaffecting Roberto’s image. The cardboard folder is 11 x 15” opened and is also EX+ with the pristine cover and inner section, and a small area of surface loss on the back cover.
