Seattle Slew Worn Halter with Tremendous Wear (LOA)

Seattle Slew Worn Halter with Tremendous Wear (LOA)

A tremendous artifact from a Hall of Fame thoroughbred, this halter was worn by 1977 Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew. It shows tremendous wear with "Seattle Slew" nameplate with scratches. Slew entered the '77 Kentucky Derby with a perfect record and rallied to win that race as well as the Preakness and Belmont, earning Horse of the Year honors. So impressive were his accomplishments - winning 14 races and placing second twice in 17 career starts - that Seattle Slew was ranked in the top 10 U.S. Racehorses of the 20th Century. This halter originates from the estate of John Walden, former manager of Stoner Hill, and comes with LOA.
