Often referred to as one of Twain’s most complete pieces of satire of the American South, the novel is a direct sequel to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and was one of the first novels to incorporate regional language and dialect into the narrative and dialog. This example satisfies all of the universal points to be considered iin a 1st edition/1st state printing. 1) Chapter V "Huck Decided to Leave." 2) "Him and Another Man" listed on page "88." 3) Copyright 1884 & 1885 on title page. 4) No "11" on page 9. 5) No letter "l" in "Co." 6) Letter "b" in "body" is broken. 7) Final "5" in "155" slightly longer (p.155). Book has wear and is missing the first leaf. The binding needs repair. Cloth binding is worn in places including open corners. Condition is 5/10.
