1965 St. Louis Cardinals Team-Signed Baseball with Rookie Steve Carlton

1965 St. Louis Cardinals Team-Signed Baseball with Rookie Steve Carlton

The 1965 Cardinals were about as bland as oatmeal with an 80-81 record, but they did feature a young pitching prodigy by the name of Steve Carlton, as well as some other players who would provide the backbone for their 1967 championship team. Many of them are evident here amid these 23 signatures:, Gibson, Boyer, Flood, White, McCarver, Uecker and Red Schoendienst, the man who would manage that team to the title, as well as to the National League pennant the following season. The official NL (Giles) ball is NRMT to MINT and the signatures are 8-9/10.
