1965 World Series "Win Twins" Banner that Flew in Stadium

1965 World Series "Win Twins" Banner that Flew in Stadium

This red, white and blue double-sided banner was actually flown in Metropolitan Stadium in Minneapolis during the 1965 World Series. Reading "1965 Win! Twins! World Series" in red, it features the Twins logo of Minneapolis and St. Paul ballplayers shaking hands against the outline of the state of Minnesota. The graphics are all visible on both sides of the banner, which measures approximately 35" x 54" and has grommets on the left corners and a wide strip of velcro all along the top binding. We are told the banner was hung by the velcro strip when it was on display in Minnesota. The Twins were ultimately defeated in the World Series by the Los Angeles Dodgers, but this banner is a terrific memento of that pennant-winning season.
