1992 Memphis State NCAA Basketball Ring

A strong Memphis State team entered the 1992 Midwest Conference Semifinals and advanced to the Elite Eight by defeating Georgia Tech 83-79 in overtime. The team lost in the quarterfinals to a powerful Cincinnati team which went on to a berth in Final Four at the Nationals, which Duke ultimately won. This gold ring is marked on top “Memphis State / Elite / Eight / University” around a blue cabochon with “NCAA” across the center. The left side is marked “Finch” over an action shot with three figures; the right side is marked “1992...Great...Midwest...Conference...MSU”. This sample ring has the name of the immortal Memphis State player and coach (1986-1997), Larry Finch. The size 10 ? ring, 10 karat gold, is in NRMT condition.
