Babe Ruth Coin Operated Mutoscope with Original Babe Ruth Reel
Rare coin operated machine with an even rarer Mutoscope reel featuring Babe Ruth. Many repros have come on the market but this is a real one. This particular reel, circa mid-1920's, not only depicts "The Bambino" sparring with Artie McGowan who trained Jack Dempsey, it also shows Ruth at Yankee Stadium taking some practice swings. Great stuff!! The machine has been beautifully restored by one of the top coin op restorers in the nation. It is also in its excellent working condition. The fitting photo on the header is a perfect copy of Ruth in one of his Hollywood exploits. The stand is a repro which perfectly mimics the long gone original. Manufactured by the International Mutoscope Reel Co., New York, New York. A centerpiece for any sports game room or serious collector of baseball memorabilia. Stands nearly as tall as you.
