Still considered by many as The Greatest Athlete of All Time, Jim Thorpe is captured in football regalia in this 10x15" drawing on thin paper affixed to board. It is in watercolor outlined in pencil and signed by artist "L. Blanchard" in pencil, with "Jim Thorpe, Carlisle Indians," written at bottom right. It's also signed on back, "Property of Jim Thorpe" with his address. It displays creasing throughout and the top right section is very fragile, adding to the museum-quality look of this work.
