Jimi Hendrix Signed Card
We about fell off our seats seeing this 3.25 x 6.25" promo card from the famous Blue Moon Club in Cheltenham, England -- a collector's item in itself given that the joint is a legend of the British blues circuit -- that is signed and inscribed on the back by Jimi Hendrix! Made out "To Dutch", he writes, "Stay Cool, Jimi Hendrix." We're trying, Jimi, but it's hard without you. The signature in black pen is a Hendrix beauty, a clear, bold, full-bodied 9/10 at the very least. "Mitch" is scribbled beneath Jimi's name in pencil signed by Jimi Hendrix Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell. For blues buffs, the front of the card bills upcoming gigs by Alan Bown, Geno Washington, and the Chessmen. Card likely dates to late '60s or 1970 and is a NRMT gem with a tiny pinhole on the center bottom below the signature.
