Rico Petrocelli 1973 Red Sox & Chuck Workman 1944 Boston Braves Home Run Balls (2)
From an old timers collection: 1) Rico Petrocelli Home Run Ball sloppily inscribed: Rico's Home Run 8-15-73." Game used OAL. 2) Possibly the only Chuck Workman single signed ball extant (d. 1953). ONL (Frick) baseball is evenly worn, rubbed up game used ball, a nice tan. Sweet spot sig is enhanced by the same fan hand who caught the ball in the stands and wrote, "Homerun Ball Sept. 29, 1944". It helped beat the Cubs 5-1. Fan returned to Braves Field and got the key autograph only ten years before Chuck's death.
