Roberto Clemente Signed Ballantine Beer Photograph
Baseball and beer have had a tight relationship for decades. This rare promotional photo features Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente posing in his Pirates uniform, all in support of the Ballantine brand of "cerveza." What stands out most here is Roberto's strong, NRMT blue ballpoint signature. The premium grades EX due to a corner crease. Tough to find this unpersonalized. Clemente recorded exactly 3,000 hits during a brilliant career that was cut short on New Year's Eve of 1972, when, on a relief mission to earthquake-ravaged Nicaragua, Clemente perished in a plane crash. The pride of Puerto Rico was a 15-time All-Star, won four batting titles and 12 Gold Gloves during his 18-year career.
