Scarce Jack Johnson & Jim Jeffries Postcard (1916)
To say the bout between Jack Johnson and Jim Jeffries for the heavy weight title was racially charged, would be to put it mildly. Boxing's first inter-racial heavy weight title fight had America obsessed and the pre-fight publicity was unprecedented. This postcard is a great example of the openly racist sentiments circulating about the match up. The postcard has some overall spotting and corners are very slightly bumped. Overall, though, this postcard is in great condition.
