Thurman Munson's First Signed Contract
A colossal find, this all-important contract is the very first Major League contract for Yankees’ star catcher and defining piece of the dynasty in the ‘70’s. Dated April 12, 1969, this one-page contract is “Official Notice of Disposition of Player’s Contract and Services: “To player Thurman L. Munson – You are hereby officially notified of the following disposition of your contract: your contract has this date been assigned outright to the New York Yankees, Inc. Club of the American League”. Signed at the bottom in black ink by Munson. Signature is Mint and a perfect 10/10. folded twice horizontally, o/w EX-MT.
