Two Mambo The Dancing Elephant Marionettes

Two Mambo The Dancing Elephant Marionettes

Mambo started dancing on the TV show about 1955 and became another main character of the Doodyville menagerie. An extraordinary Rose creation, the first Mambo is still wrapped in his original felt skin, has his colorful neckpiece, and is in wonderful condition. His original straw hat is broken in the front, but this should not be too hard to rectify. His eyes, ears and trunk are ‘animated.’ The second Mambo is also in good condition and mostly like his twin, but dressed in a tutu. This stand-in was used whenever the plot called for Mambo to spray water, since there is a tube that runs through the trunk. Both of these sturdy pachyderms could still cut a rug. This Peanut Gallery favorite danced for 5 years on the show and forever in our hearts!
