10/26/85 Patrick Ewing NBA Debut Ticket Stub PSA FR 1.5 (Pop 2 - One Higher)
Patrick Ewing was one of the best centers in both college and professional basketball history. At Georgetown University, Ewing led the Hoyas to three NCAA Championship Game appearances in four years, and the 1983-84 National Title. In the NBA, Ewing was the first overall pick in the 1985 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks. Displayed is an extremely rare ticket stub from Ewing's professional debut, an October 26, 1985, contest at Madison Square Garden with New York hosting the Philadelphia 76ers. In Ewing's debut, he scored 18 points and had 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals and an assist as the 76ers defeated the Knicks 99-89. Under coach Hubie Brown, the Knicks went 23-59 in 1985-86, finishing in 5th place in the Atlantic Division. Over the ensuing years on the Knicks, Ewing got plenty of revenge against Malone and other NBA centers as he averaged 20.0 points and 9.0 rebounds lifetime, and became the all-time Knicks leader in points, rebounds, blocks, and steals. He was an 11-time All-Star and twice took the Knicks to the NBA Finals. Ewing was named in 2021 as one of the 75 best NBA players of all-time. The offered ticket stub, a $16.00 First Promenade ducat, measures approx. 1.75x2.25". It has been encapsulated and graded PSA FR 1.5, POP 2, ONLY 1 HIGHER.
