12/15/90 Ron Francis Photo-Matched Hartford Whalers Game Worn Jersey (Photo-Matched)
<p>There's much to like about this outstanding Ron Francis Hartford Whalers jersey worn on December 15th of the 1990-91 season. Green road top displays tremendous use throughout with puck marks, thread pulls, a small hole on the chest, some minor skate cuts/abrasions and some fraying to the front of the collar. The Whale logo across the chest is cleverly and unusually designed - Hartford already had one of the great all-time NHL logos with the hometown "H" nestled between a "W" on the bottom half and a whale's tail on top. Unlike most jerseys which have one solid crest, this one is separated into two parts, with the green jersey background serving as the "H." The Hall of Famer's captain's "C" is nestled on the left shoulder in white-on-blue tackle twill. Name is stitched directly to back above the number 10 in the same color scheme. Considered one of the best all-around centers of his era, Francis dominated Hartford's all-time scoring records before moving on to Pittsburgh, where he was an essential component of the Penguins' back-to-back Stanley Cup titles, making him an easy choice for the Hall after an astounding career, accumulating 1,798 points (5th All-Time) in 1,731 games.</p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">PHOTO-MATCH:</span></strong> This jersey has been photo-matched to December 15th, 1990 (Getty 156931053)</p>
